CapEX was founded in Nashville in 2014 by Joe Saatkamp. For five years, Joe and his team of owner representatives and project managers grew their business through strong a commitment to quality and client service.  By the end of 2018 they had worked on many high-profile projects totaling more than $1.5 billion in construction costs. This success led to their merger with Cumming in 2019, a like-minded business with similar company values – including, most importantly, an unwavering dedication to serving clients and delivering successful project outcomes.

CapEX Cumming has continued to grow and thrive since the merger, and today offers not only owner representation and project management, but also cost management and scheduling services. Our market sector experience and geographical reach have expanded as well. This growth is the direct result of our continued focus on quality and service, and of the expertise of our team members.

For the past year we have focused on ensuring a successful and seamless integration of Cumming and CapEX. Today, we are ready to take the final step in merging our two organizations. On January 1, 2021, the merged brand CapEX Cumming will officially change its name to Cumming, thus completing the transition and unifying our groups under a single brand.

Aside from this brand transition, nothing about our team, services, or company culture will change. In fact, this merger only happened in the first place because of how aligned our companies were in terms of vision, values, and culture; because of how well our services and markets complemented each other; and because we knew it would give us the flexibility and resources to continue putting the needs of our clients first in everything we do.

Thank you for your continued support throughout this transition, and for continuing to believe that quality service is a worthwhile investment.
