Earlier this week Cumming Group announced the final transition and consolidation of Lehrer Cumming’s Florida team, Miami-based Amicon Management, and Zimmer Construction Consultants of Boca Raton to Cumming Group.
This change marks the formal completion of mergers between Cumming Group, AmiconManagement, and Zimmer Construction Consultants initiated earlier this year, and includes the incorporation of the Lehrer Cumming brand in Florida under Cumming Group. Lehrer Cumming, a division of Cumming Group providing project management and owner advisory services to clients in the eastern U.S., was formed in 2018 from the merger between NYC-based Lehrer LLC and Cumming Group.
Cumming Group’s work in the State of Florida dates back to the early 2000s with its first assignment for Hilton Hotels. The team went on to support a number of additional hospitality owners and developers as well as the most prominent theme park operators in the state.
Cumming Group opened its first Florida office in Orlando in 2006, and in 2013 expanded into Miami. In 2018, after its merger with Lehrer LLC, Cumming Group rebranded its Miami location to Lehrer Cumming as part of a strategic initiative to operate under Lehrer Cumming in the Eastern U.S.
Earlier this year, Cumming Group was joined by Miami-based Amicon Management, a respected project management and owner advisory firm known for its work in the luxury residential, retail, and commercial space across South Florida, and Zimmer Construction Consultants, a boutique lender services team based in Boca Raton.
Now operating as a single team under the Cumming Group name across Florida, our team of nearly 100, backed by Cumming Group’s global team of 2,000 across 55 offices in the U.S. and Europe, delivers Cumming Group’s full complement of services to a broad range of clients and sectors. Most notably, the Cumming Group team offers extensive local expertise in project and cost management, owner advisory, controls, and project monitoring/lender services to the hospitality, luxury residential, and retail sectors. We are also able to draw upon the company’s extensive portfolio of healthcare, education, and corporate/commercial work to support our Florida clients with any consulting needs they may have around their development work.
Leadership across Florida includes Bill Flemming, formerly head of Lehrer Cumming’s Florida Operations; Adam Mopsick, co-founder of Amicon Management; and Rick Zimmer, founder of Zimmer Construction Consultants.
