CLOVER, S.C. – (August 21, 2014) – Cumming, an international project management and cost consulting firm, announced it has been awarded construction management services for Clover School District’s $99 million capital improvement plan.

Since 2007, the Board of Trustees and district administrators have monitored student enrollment in Clover and planned for future growth. The $67 million local bond package, which was approved by voters this past spring, will provide a portion of the funds for both present and future facility needs to help ensure Clover School District remains one of the top performing school systems in South Carolina. The additional $32 million will be funded by the district.

The Clover School District capital improvement package, which is expected to be completed in late-2017, is divided into five major development projects, including:

  • The construction of a new elementary school;
  • Renovation of the current Clover Middle School into a ninth grade academy;
  • The construction of a new replacement middle school;
  • District-wide athletic facility upgrades;
  • The development of a state-of-the-art Aquatics & Fitness Center

Cumming and Clover School District have worked closely since 1996 to bring several facility construction projects to completion within the proposed budget and schedule, including the new Applied Technology Center and renovations to Clover High School during the 2010-2012 school years. More recently, additions and building renovations to Crowders Creek Elementary School were completed, which were also successfully managed by Cumming.

“Cumming has been a trusted construction management partner for Clover School District over the years and we are focused on maintaining the District’s reputation of providing the community with high quality, state-of-the-art educational facilities,” said William D. Wiseman, Managing Principal at Cumming.
