New Yorker Projektmanagement-Unternehmen erwirbt Bostoner Bauberatungsfirma
LeftField, a Boston firm involved in the building of Moderna’s new Cambridge headquarters, has been acquired.
A Boston construction consulting firm that’s helped build a new headquarters building for Moderna in Cambridge and a building for Boston University’s School of Fine Arts has been acquired by an international consultant.
Boston-based LeftField has joined New York-based Cumming Group, the two companies announced Thursday. A purchase price wasn’t disclosed.
LeftField, founded in 2007, has a portfolio that spans higher education, K-12 education and life sciences labs. Its clients, in addition to BU and Moderna, also include Harvard, where it helped build the university’s Northwest Building and renovate its Sherman Fairchild Building.
It has also worked on Flagship Pioneering’s One Charles Park lab and office building and Isenberg School of Management’s building at UMass Amherst, among others. Its work spans Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
In addition to its office at 101 Federal St., LeftField also has offices in Worcester, Providence and Manchester, New Hampshire.
Cumming Group, founded in 1996, describes itself as a project management and cost consulting firm. It has 2,850 employees and more than 65 offices, including one in Boston at 330 Congress St. The company said the Boston offices will both remain.
LeftField and Cumming Group already share some clients, including Flagship Pioneering and Yale University.
