Earlier this year, Cumming Managing Principal Lisa C. Sachs was notified by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) of her acceptance into the AIA’s College of Fellows. This prestigious program “was developed to elevate those who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession,” according to the AIA, which also notes that, “Out of a total AIA membership of over 80,000 there are over 3,000 members distinguished with this honor.” A formal Investiture Ceremony will be held on May 17, 2012 in conjunction with the AIA’s 2012 National Convention and Design Exposition in Washington, DC.
