San Diego-based construction management firm Cumming Corp. has hired Nick Alexander as its director of information technology within the company’s Group Services Team.

Alexander will oversee Cumming’s corporate technology resources including hardware and software, wide area networks, desktop tools, servers, PCs, laptops, telecommunications and internal helpdesk.

He will also be responsible for evaluating current resources with a goal of developing an IT strategy to ensure Cumming chooses the best-in-class technology solutions.

Alexander will be based out of Cumming’s Murrieta office.

He comes from Conexant, the technology spin-off of Rockwell International, where he worked in various IT management roles during his 13-year tenure.
