Marriott International and Ian Schrager Company are scheduled to open the highly anticipated London EDITION hotel on September 12, 2013. This will be the first EDITON-branded property to open since the brand’s 2011 Istanbul debut. Reporting directly to Marriott’s corporate leadership team, Cumming has provided overall corporate program management of the Marriott International-owned EDITION-branded projects and project level development management on the London luxury lifestyle hotel, which occupies the former historic Berners Hotel.

The London EDITION hotel hosts 173 rooms, a Jason Atherton inspired restaurant, four bars, a special function space, meeting rooms, and a modernized lobby that accentuates the building’s original historic character. Located in central London’s Fitzrovia neighborhood, the London EDITION brings together the integrity and character of a historic building with Ian Schrager Company’s sophisticated design.

The EDITION hotel brand was created by Marriott International in partnership with renowned boutique hotelier Ian Schrager. The London project is the first of three EDITION properties scheduled to open, with Miami and New York slated for completion in 2014. In addition to its role on the London project, Cumming is supporting Marriott as Program and Project Manager on the Miami facility, a conversion of the historic Seville Hotel, and as Program Manager on the New York project, a conversion of the historic MetLife Clock Tower on Madison Avenue.
