Executive Additions, Internal Promotions Help to Position Construction Management Firm for Sustained Strategic Growth

SAN DIEGO – (July 28, 2014) – Cumming, an international project management and cost consulting firm, announced it has completed its multi-phased Cost Management leadership reorganization on the West Coast. Through numerous executive additions and internal promotions, the construction management firm has finalized the restructuring of its Cost Management leadership team, after recording a double digit year-over-year increase in revenue during the past fiscal period, to better position Cumming for continued growth.

Kicking off the organizational changes earlier this year, Cumming’s David Baird was promoted to Vice President and has assumed overall responsibility for cost management services in the Western U.S. He is also tasked with expanding the firm’s presence in key growth markets throughout the region.
“Cumming focuses on mentoring internal team members and strives to elevate talent from within whenever possible as those individuals tend to become natural culture ambassadors in our offices around the country,” said Mike Jensen, Chief Operating Officer.

Following the promotion of Baird, Scott Feeney, was brought on board to lead the operations of the firm’s office in Orange County, California as Managing Director. Feeney is a member of the American Society for Professional Estimators and is an expert in construction cost estimating, from pre-construction through project closeout.

In conjunction with the hiring of Feeney, Ashok Patel relocated from Orange County to the firm’s San Diego office as Managing Director to lead its Cost Management team. A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Patel provides a full range of budgeting, cost management, and estimating services from the early concept phase of a project to construction completion.

Driving Cumming’s Cost Management operations in the Greater Denver-area, Managing Director, Alan Plummer, was promoted internally to lead the region’s healthcare, hospitality, commercial, educational and gaming sector projects.

Most recently, Mark Fergus was brought on to serve as the Los Angeles office’s Managing Director. Fergus is a senior cost professional with an extensive portfolio of work on the West Coast and across the U.S., Middle East, Far East and U.K. A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Fergus brings more than 20 years of quantity surveying, contract and cost management experience to the firm. Fergus’ areas of specialization include hospitality, retail, mixed-use development, high-tech, mission critical, as well as a broad range of civil, corporate office and infrastructure work.
