Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water
Cumming Group provides Cost Management and advisory services to the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water Capital Delivery Alliance, supporting the delivery of the Capital Investment Programme for the AMP7 Regulatory Period (2020–2025), valued at approximately £2 billion.
The programme is delivered through a combination of Capital Alliance partners and the in-house Capital Engineering team, utilising a range of Framework Agreements and specific contractors to deliver over 3,000 projects of varying type, size, and complexity. Many projects involve upgrades or enhancements to live operational sites, requiring careful planning and stakeholder engagement.
Our support predominantly focuses on the capital delivery programme, with annual spend of £100–200 million, and extends to other areas including reactive capital maintenance, asset management, procurement, and developer services. We provide expertise across all stages of the project lifecycle, often within live operational environments, and manage engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including design teams, planners, contractors and supply chains, estates teams, local councils, Natural Resources Wales, operational teams, asset strategy owners, budget holders, technical standards teams, finance teams, and senior management.
