Cumming Group provided Project and Cost Management support to Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water for the development of new ‘super’ water treatment works and associated infrastructure, designed to replace three existing facilities nearing the end of their operational life. 

The proposed scheme includes: 

• New water treatment works facilities with enhanced water storage 
• New raw water pipelines from existing reservoirs 
• New treated water pipelines to distribute treated water from the new works 
• New and upgraded pumping stations to maintain and boost water pressures 

Our support focused on the early phases of the project, including management of enabling works and ground investigations, which are critical to the overall solution and help mitigate key project risks.
