Cumming Group provided move management services for DraftKings as they relocated to their new headquarters in Boston, MA. DraftKings selected a space that spanned two buildings with different systems, creating a unique design challenge. Blending these two spaces into one involved overcoming permitting and approval complications. After removing the adjoining wall between the two spaces—creating one massive floorplate while addressing fire rating concerns—the design team developed multiple space types to support operations. To meet the desired timeline, an aggressive schedule was required. Our team worked tirelessly to meet the fast-track four-month planning schedule, successfully relocating 660 employees and their 1,300 crates. Our detailed communication and planning efforts prevented potential issues, resulting in a 99% move satisfaction rating.
