The Shelbourne
The iconic 5 star Shelbourne Hotel, is an historic renaissance hotel, set in a grand 1842 Victorian building with an ornate facade. This listed building underwent complete refurbishment including bedrooms, FOH and meeting rooms. Multi-million-euro refurbishment and restoration of the five-star hotel including a refit of its 45 suites in the Heritage Section and the refurbishment of the hotel’s grand staircase, corridors and public areas.
The refurbishment projects included the Princes Grace Suite, the entrance lobby & reception areas, the Lord Mayors Lounge, The Terrace & 1824 Bar, The Adam & Deirdre Suites including new kitchens, Bar 27 & The Shelbourne Bar and the complete refurbishment of the Ballroom and upgrade of the bar serving it. the meeting room suites, corridor upgrades, extensive BOH and basement works, M&E plant and roof upgrade works, general FLS upgrades and more. More recently, we have delivered the four sample bedrooms upgrades in the 50’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s blocks.
The iconic landmark hotel has almost 200 years of history and its use cannot be changed, however, the rooms facing on to St Stephen’s Green have gone through an extensive full refurbishment including mechanical and electrical systems. These works involved the restoration and retention of many of the original building features included the lath and plaster ceilings, original cornicing, building brick and stone façade and existing windows. Improvement works in the corridors and common areas were also carried out.
