Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley
Cumming Group provided project management, cost management, and scheduling services to Starwood Capital Group for Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley, located in Sunnyvale, California. Designed by 10 SB, the USGBC LEED-certified hotel features reclaimed wood and materials sourced within 300 miles of the project site. The campus includes 111 guest rooms, with plans to expand to a total of 254.
A Steinberg Hart-designed tower hosts 143 guest rooms built using a modular design that enables efficient and flexible development while minimizing environmental impact and construction waste.
The hotel reflects the signature Treehouse Hotels brand, incorporating pitched roofs, large balcony windows, and wood-like privacy screens. Most rooms feature private outdoor spaces, ranging from ground-floor patios to upper-level terraces, evoking the feeling of treehouse living and tranquil seclusion. Landscape architect RIOS integrated locally sourced fruit trees and California Redwood canopies to provide natural shading and enhance the guest experience.
Opened in Spring 2025, the property features Valley Goat restaurant by award-winning chef Stephanie Izard, a seasonal beer garden with craft brews, an outdoor pool, the charming Backyard Café, curated hotel programming that highlights local partners, and more than 7,000 square feet of event space.
