Project Overview
Cumming Group was hired to provide move management services for RTI International, an independent nonprofit research institute, during their office reorganization and restack at their Research Triangle Park campus in North Carolina. The project involved an extensive change management and communications plan for RTI employees as they moved into three new buildings. Understanding the client’s goal for restructuring the workplace setting, Cumming Group played a pivotal role in facilitating aspects of this endeavor, particularly focusing on creating a move matrix for space programming, all within a tight three-month deadline.

Current Status & Project Outcome

The final result provides the client with expanded office and research space, additional storage, and enhanced technology that will allow them to continue pursuing their goal to positively impact the wellbeing of 1 billion people through science-based solutions in climate, education, health, and equity. “Overseeing this project on behalf of RTI International has been a gratifying experience,” said Candis Parker, Cumming Group’s senior project manager who led the move management efforts for the client. “Thorough planning and abundant communication proved to be the key for achieving success. We were delighted to turn their vision into reality.” The project was completed on time and under budget.
