Four leading firms in the built environment – Lehrer Cumming, PCM Consulting, Nova Partners, and RGMK – have officially transitioned their names and branding to Cumming Group, marking the completion of a planned integration process to bring the firms together under a common identity

All acquired in the past several years, the project- and cost-management firms that are assuming the Cumming Group brand today offer a range of expertise and local experience in their respective markets:

  • Lehrer Cumming, an East-Coast based owner-advisory firm known for landmark projects such as the redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport and multiple buildings for Columbia University, announced its merger with Cumming Group in late 2018.
  • Nova Partners, an independent project consultancy supporting a wide range of clients and sectors throughout California and the western U.S., merged with Cumming Group in 2021.
  •  RGMK, which announced its merger with Cumming Group in late 2022, supports clients in the education space and has worked with more than 60 public school districts across Northern California.
  • PCM Consulting, a respected project controls firm with experience in the life-sciences and high-tech sectors, merged with Cumming Group in July 2023.

Cumming Group’s growth story has been defined by mergers with specialized firms that are recognized as offering best-in-class expertise in specific markets and sectors. Each company underwent a careful integration process to provide seamless continuity for clients, who are supported by the same teams they have come to trust, but now with the expanded global resources of Cumming Group.

“We continue to pursue our vision to be the most trusted team in the built environment, and a key piece of that goal is to join with other like-minded businesses that improve the level of service we can offer our clients across the U.S., UK and throughout Europe,” said Derek Hutchison, President and CEO, Cumming Group.

Hutchison added, “Rather than defining growth strictly in terms of headcount or revenue, we seek to grow our capabilities and reputation. The four firms assuming our name and branding today have already made significant contributions toward that goal, and we’re proud to now work alongside them as one team sharing the Cumming Group name.”
