Newly formed Lehrer Cumming has consolidated its New York City operations within nearly 15,000 square feet on the second floor of 888 7th Avenue. The move comes after the project management and owner advisory firm, Lehrer, LLC, merged with international construction consultancy, Cumming, in August 2018.

Lehrer Cumming, operating as a division of Cumming, provides project management and advisory services to a growing East Coast client base in Boston, New York City, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Miami. Lehrer Cumming works alongside Cumming, which continues to offer cost managements services, in each of these markets.

“Having all Lehrer Cumming team members together under one roof allows us to leverage our individual resources and provide unmatched owner advisory services to clients,” said Peter M. Lehrer, CEO at Lehrer Cumming.

The new office at 888 7th Avenue has the capacity to accommodate all 80 New York City-based team members, as well as support the Division’s projected growth. The New York office will serve as the Lehrer Cumming’s main office. Lehrer Cumming has approximately 100 team members across five offices, and the merger between Lehrer, LLC and Cumming has brought Cumming’s total headcount to just over 700 employees worldwide.

Lehrer, LLC has advised on a number of prestigious projects, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Manhattanville Campus at Columbia University, Stavros Niarchos River Campus at Rockefeller University, Milstein Center for Teaching & Learning Barnard College, expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, redevelopment of LaGuardia Airport, JetBlue Terminal 5 at JFK, 15 Central Park West, Bloomberg Headquarters at 731 Lexington Avenue, and 220 Central Park South.

Cumming’s diverse worldwide portfolio includes an array of work in the healthcare, education, commercial, hospitality, retail, entertainment, and high-end residential sectors totaling more than $150 billion in project value. Major regional and national projects and clients include Waldorf Astoria New York, The Witkoff Group, Kaiser Permanente, Facebook, and Google, among many others.

Matthew T. Leon with Newmark Knight Frank negotiated the lease and its terms on behalf of Lehrer Cumming.
