Locally Based Cumming Opens New York City Office

San Diego-based Cumming, an international construction project and cost management firm, has opened a new regional office in New York City.

Officials said the Midtown Manhattan office, at 60 E. 42nd St., will serve clients in the company’s growing customer base in the New York metro area, and is part of long-term plans to grow Cumming’s national presence. The four-person New York team specializes in program, project and cost management.

Cumming since 1998 has been involved in New York City-area projects representing about $2 billion in development value, with clients including the Edition and Waldorf Astoria hotels, New York Public Library and Westchester County Medical Center.

The privately held company now has 20 U.S. offices and one in Abu Dhabi. Cumming was founded in 1996 and represents clients on projects in sectors including hospitality, government, education and health care.
