Five years after announcing the brand would enter the Nashville market, Virgin Hotels is set to open its doors in Nashville.

Virgin Hotels, the lifestyle hotel brand developed by Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, opens Wednesday at 1 Music Square W.

Given that it’s opening during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has gut-punched the leisure industry, Virgin Hotels Nashville is offering a “staycation” package for Tennessee residents, which grants all residents 35% off their stay by showing proof of residency at check-in.

The 14-story hotel will feature 262 rooms (dubbed “chambers”); multiple food and beverage options, such as the brand’s signature Commons Club; and a rooftop lounge with a pool.

Commons Club is off the main entrance of the hotel and is described as a “members-only experience that’s open to all,” according to a news release.

The Pool Club Rooftop & Bar will serve “light bites” and cocktails.

The hotel will also include Funny Library Coffee Shop on the first floor. The coffee shop is described as a communal workspace that will have an “assortment of whimsical and funny books and games.” Funny Library Coffee Shop will serve coffee from Laughing Man, the brand co-founded by actor Hugh Jackman.

The property will employ Virgin’s “No Nickel and Diming Policy,” which means guests will enjoy “street-priced mini bars, free WiFi and no resort/urban or amenity fees,” according to a news release.

Virgin Hotels Nashville was developed by The Buccini/Pollin Group, and operated by Virgin Hotels.
