The A5 Western Transport Corridor (A5WTC) comprises an 86km dual carriageway between Derry / Londonderry and Aughnacloy and is one of five Key Transport Corridors identified in the Northern Ireland Regional Transport Strategy. This scheme is the largest single contract to be procured in Northern Ireland.

The A5WTC is a Northern Ireland (NI) Executive led scheme and a flagship project of the NI Executive which will help to connect people safely, supporting opportunities and creating sustainable living places. The scheme is of strategic importance to the region helping improve competitiveness and economic prosperity through increased connectivity and accessibility across the region.
