Clackamas Community College, Harmony West, Milwaukie, OR
As part of a voter-approved $90 million bond measure to update Clackamas Community College (CCC) facilities, the Harmony West project grows CCC’s health science, workforce development, and general educational offerings on the Harmony Community Campus. The new three-story, 43,634-sq.-ft. Harmony West building features eight classrooms, one large dividable classroom, chemistry and biology labs with lab preparation space, two computer labs, a 2,500-sq.-ft. multipurpose/community event space, lobby, informal learning spaces, support spaces, and a bookstore.
The new facility replaces the existing 61-year-old building with a modern facility that will allow students to start and complete a number of academic career pathways. The project is designed to perform beyond the current Oregon Energy Code requirements and adheres to the 2030 Challenge, which seeks to make all new buildings carbon-neutral by 2030.
