Clackamas Community College, Transit Center and Parking Lot, Oregon City, OR

As part of a voter-approved $90 million bond measure and a Connect Oregon grant, Clackamas Community College implemented a transportation improvement program at its Oregon City campus. Key to the program is a new transit center that doubles the amount of parking (to accommodate 352 cars) on campus and creates a transit center “lane” that can accommodate up to 12 buses at a time.

The project increased mobility for students with much-needed ADA access improvements and created a location for personal vehicle drop off. The project is expected to support the transportation needs and growth of the college for the next 25 years.

Transportation improvements on the Oregon City campus also included reconstruction of the primary ring road, Douglas Loop, using a modified version of full-depth reclamation.
