Dŵr Cyrmu Welsh Water AMP7, Various Cities, Wales

The Capital Investment Programme for the 5-year AMP7 Regulatory Period (2020-2025) amounts to circa £2 billion. The programme is substantially delivered by a combination of the Capital Alliance partners and the in-house Capital Engineering team who engage a variety of Framework Agreements and specific contractors to deliver individual schemes. The Capital Delivery Alliance has been in existence since 1st April 2015 and is a collaborative partnership between Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and three capital partner organisations. The Framework covers over 3,000 projects varying in type, size and complexity. Often the works involve upgrades or enhancements to existing live operational sites.

ChandlerKBS, the infrastructure division of Cumming Group, predominately supports the capital delivery programme, ranging from £100m to £200m per annum. We also support other areas of the business such as reactive capital maintenance, assets, procurement, and developer services.  We have continually demonstrated our ability to work across multiple teams and at each stage of the lifecycle of a project. The projects involve working within a live operational environment, resulting in the need for significant stakeholder management to always ensure business continuity. The stakeholders vary depending on the work but can include design teams, planners, contactors and their supply chain, estates teams, planning departments, local councils, National Resource Wales, water resources, operational teams, asset strategy and owners, budget holders, technical standards teams, finance teams, Head of Commercial, Directors and Managing Directors.
