ChandlerKBS, A Cumming Group Affiliate, acted as the project and cost manager for the total renovation of the 20-story Hilton Glasgow, located on the edge of Glasgow’s city center and just off the M8 motorway. Along with the Glasgow-based interior design team of Bell & Swift, our team was pushed to have the ballroom and banqueting phase and blocks of the 319 guestrooms completed in time for the COP26 Summit in late 2021. Due to the virtual nature of the work-from-home mandate during the COVID-19 pandemic, the task was difficult to coordinate during early design and construction.  Despite our team’s logistical challenges, Phase 1 of the project opened successfully in time for the Summit. The remainder of the project was completed in late 2022, in time for holiday travelers.
