McLane Stadium, Waco, TX

Baylor University’s McLane Stadium, located on the Brazos River and directly adjacent to the I-35 Corridor, serves as the front door of the university, visually and physically representing Baylor’s campus by melding with the existing architecture. The $266 million stadium was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the university to bring football back to campus and create a memorable fan experience. The 93-acre site also includes a new track and field stadium, an RGIII statue in the south end-zone plaza and a Grant Teaff statue along the “I Believe Walkway.” In a show of community support, 43 percent of dollars contracted to date have been spent locally.
