Last Fall, Oregon City voters approved the design and construction of a new Police and Municipal Courts Building to serve as a modern and resilient law-enforcement headquarters with ample space to house the city’s municipal court. Cumming Group supported the city’s police department by providing owner representation and project management services throughout the project.

Cumming Group actively worked with the police department and court staff to understand the needs of the various stakeholders. Employing a CM/GC delivery method, Cumming Group helped shepherd the project through various challenges, including COVID-19 and wildfire activity in the region, while also maintaining a close dialogue with passionate community members.

The new $23-million, 33,000-sq.-ft. facility repurposed materials from the Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, which formerly stood on the same site – honoring the history of the site and the wishes of community stakeholders.
