This $280 million project is a new nine-story, 380,000-sq.-ft. cardiovascular research institute building at Scripps Health in La Jolla, San Diego. Program elements include the emergency department, operating rooms, six catheter labs, intensive care units, and medical surge accommodation along with the customary administrative support spaces. The project also involved a new 27,000-sq.-ft. central plant building and significant site upgrades. Cumming Group provided cost estimating and preconstruction services.
