Cumming Group was selected to provide construction management services in support of the San Rafael City Schools bond program. In a short span of 18 months, Cumming Group successfully delivered three major school addition and modernization projects at Laurel Dell Elementary School, San Pedro Elementary School, and Davidson Middle School. Combined, these projects added approximately 60,000 square feet of new educational spaces, including 20 new classrooms, two new administration offices, a multi-purpose building with food service, and an abundant amount of ancillary spaces. The projects also included modernizing existing buildings to incorporate new state-of-the-art classrooms and media centers, along with an integrated A/V system that served students and teachers equally. Site improvements were another major component; these included new playfields and structures, lunch shelters, outdoor learning spaces, parking lot improvements, and new entrance facades that welcome the entire community.
