Meow Wolf’s Denver location, Convergence Station, embarked on a unique project to expand within the original installation – an underground, executive travel lounge, Sips (with a Z). Cumming Group’s Denver team was hired to provide local oversight of the project and to be the Santa Fe-based team’s eyes and ears during construction.

Convergence Station is one of Meow Wolf’s largest and most ambitious installations yet, providing an immersive experience with surreal and interactive journeys through various spaces filled with art, technology, and the rich underlying narrative of the four converged worlds within. Sips (with a Z) can serve 147 guests, exclusive to Convergence Station ticket holders, providing an elevated cocktail and entertainment program. The space is also open for private events seven days a week.

Cumming Group worked with Meow Wolf’s in-house team of artists and creative directors, audiovisual experts, and lighting professionals to execute their creative vision. Many of the elements within the lounge are custom creations designed by both Meow Wolf and BOSS.architecture. Like the rest of Convergence Station, the lounge is filled with surprise elements including two sidewalk grates on the ceiling providing a view to Earthers on their multiversal exploration.

To ensure the project was delivered on schedule and within budget, Cumming Group effectively managed a complex array of moving components and oversaw a myriad of details and finishing touches. The final result is a unique bar space comprised of street art, high-end Art Deco furniture, and the otherworldly vibes that Convergence Station is known for.
