The Client engaged Cumming Group to oversee all phases of the renovation of The Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort. Adjacent to Disneyland Resort Parks, Angels Stadium, and the Anaheim Convention Center, this 270,000-square-foot renovation project included an update to the hotel’s 490 guestrooms, lobby, restaurant, meeting rooms, ballroom, fitness center, Sheraton Club Lounge, in addition to its common areas. Melzer Deckert Ruder Architects served as the project architect.

As this was a PIP project, the owner requested that the Cumming Group team oversee every part of the process, from plan check and pulling permits with necessary City entities and the Health Department, to the procurement of all consultants and driving the preconstruction phases to closeout. The project began during the COVID pandemic, adding supply chain and staffing complications. Cumming Group’s team of project managers worked through these issues locally and were able to open the 490 key resort hotel on time and within budget.
