Cumming Group provided cost estimating services for the three-phase, 200,000-sq.-ft. renovation of Wrigley Field, including new public and back-of-house areas, revenue-generating areas, and more. The highly complex work had to be completed in consideration of the historic structure, which was originally constructed in 1914. Our knowledge of the special materials and construction techniques required was key, and enabled us to assist with correctly budgeting and phasing the project. Our role also involved integrating with the highly sophisticated design team of Populous and Thornton Tomasetti. The project is currently in bid, with initial figures within 1% of the original budget.
