Cumming Group completed a $32M bond-funded renovation and addition for Yuma High School and Middle School. Our team provided pre-design services including development of master budgets, schedules, and early due diligence as well as oversight of the project through completion and into occupancy.

The new one-story addition houses the career and technical education classrooms, helping to advance YSD-1’s highly regarded partnership with Northeastern Junior College, as well as new staff administration offices, and a brand-new gymnasium for students. Also included in the renovation were 22,530 sq ft of general modernization projects, focusing on major life safety and security upgrades, the reconfiguration of classroom spaces, additional exterior windows, and the replacement of outdated HVAC and electrical systems. In addition, site improvements included addressing the bus loop, parent drop-off, and parking area as well as a new CTE project work area, outdoor lighting, new signage, security fencing, practice field repairs, and landscaping.
