Seattle-headquartered Cumming has named a new board chairman, Hisham Mahmoud, as the international construction consultancy anticipates doubling in size.

Cumming moved its headquarters from Los Angeles to Seattle a year ago. Around that time, the project management and cost consulting company had 1,000 employees worldwide and 80 in Seattle. Today it has over 1,200 employees in 41 offices and 166 associates in Seattle.

Mahmoud, who holds a doctorate in civil engineering, replaces company founder Finlay Cumming, who became chairman emeritus of the board of the over 1,200-employee company, which moved its headquarters to Seattle last year.
