How Long Have You Been Working in The Construction Industry?
I’ve been working for the last seven years in the commercial real estate sector with a focus on hospitality, financing, and multi-family investment sales. Several of the projects I helped spearhead were ground-up construction, particularly in the lifestyle boutique hotel space.
What Brought You to Cumming?
I’ve been searching for business development opportunities outside of brokerage, but still within the real estate industry. The Business Development Manager role at Cumming allows me to leverage my existing skillset in a more consultative and advisory capacity. Furthermore, I wanted to align with a company that has a best-in-class reputation in the industry, strong resources on the ground, and a great company culture.
What Advice Would You Give to Those in the A/E/C Industry?
To communicate effectively with clients to understand the big picture while managing expectations. Then, utilize your technical expertise to take ownership of the intricate details that turn the vision into reality.
What Are Some of Your Greatest Accomplishments?
I facilitated $25 million of multi-family transactions, generating $200,000 in gross commissions within the first six months of employment. I also served as an integral team member focused on raising capital for hotel acquisitions, refinances, and ground-up construction projects, with average deal sizes over $50 million. My additional accomplishments include graduating Summa Cum Laude from Boston University, a distinction only awarded to those in the top 5% for GPA, and being promoted from Analyst to Associate based on merit in less than one year, when the typical track is two years.
