Dan Annaccone
Project Director – Boston, MA
“I’ve learned that being a team player and treating everyone with respect creates success for all.…”
We’d like to welcome Dan Annaccone to the Lehrer Cumming team in Boston! As Project Director, Dan will lead healthcare project management efforts throughout the New England area. He has 25 years of construction experience with extensive involvement in the healthcare industry, leading complex projects that focus on fulfilling long-term asset management objectives and strategic facility visions. During his recent 12-year tenure at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dan successfully managed over 250 healthcare design and construction projects, which collectively exceeded more than two million square feet in size and $1 billion in project costs. His work there included ongoing coordination and management of multiple concurrent capital projects across five campuses, various satellite facilities, and 40 clinical departments. Dan is a fantastic addition to the team and we are very happy to have him.
How long have you been working in the construction industry?
I have been in the A/E/C industry for 25 years and still love what I do. My experience includes one year with a construction manager, five years with two different A/E design firms, and 19 years as an owner. My owner experience includes seven years with the Town of Weymouth managing public municipality and water works projects, and the past 12 years with Boston Children’s Hospital, where I completed over 250 design and construction jobs across the five campuses in the greater Boston area.
What brought you to Lehrer Cumming?
I am very excited about the opportunity to expand upon the early success of the Boston office and apply my leadership skills and healthcare experience towards the growth of the company’s already well-established healthcare sector. I am also beyond impressed with the company-wide growth goals and team approach. The Boston office has a positive and supportive family atmosphere which makes coming to work a lot of fun. A well-established and well-respected company that works together as a team is the key to success, based on my experience.
What advice would you give to others in the A/E/C industry?
Always remember that we are ALL on the same team and we can ALL be as successful as we want to be in this industry, even if we work for competing companies. Throughout life, I’ve learned that being a team player and treating everyone with respect creates success for all.
What are some of your greatest accomplishments?
My greatest accomplishment has been raising my kids to be good, hard-working, and respectful people who are caring and kind to everyone. I also played Division 1 baseball in college and received various invitations to attend MLB tryouts. Finally, the overwhelming love and support I received from Boston Children’s Hospital staffers as I left to join Lehrer Cumming was surreal, and a true testament to the relationships, accomplishments, and hard work I put in over the past 12 years.
