What led you to construction?

Fate and a little bit of luck. Years ago, someone within the construction industry decided to take a chance and offered me an entry-level position on a major construction program inLos Angeles. I fell in love with construction and have been here ever since. I am so fortunate to have found a profession that gives me a sense of pride, so much joy, and the ability to work with my colleagues within the industry to successfully deliver impactful and innovative projects.

Who inspires you?

My team members at Cumming inspire me every day. I am so grateful to work with such dedicated and accomplished professionals that truly care about me, our team, our clients, our projects, and the communities we serve. At Cumming, I am continuously inspired and persistently challenged to become a better version of myself, both personally and professionally.

What advice would you give to women starting out in the industry?

Be strong. Be bold. Be relentless. Be diligent, collaborative, and most importantly—you must be patient. Give yourself the time to grow and develop, take chances, and make mistakes. In doing so, this allows incredible opportunities to learn from and work closely with extraordinary individuals that are leaders within the industry: seize them! Be prepared to work hard and prove yourself every single day, just like everyone else.
