WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK
Megan Petofalvi, Director, Business Development
How long have you been in the AEC community?
I’ve been in the AEC community for over 18 years. I started off as a part-time office assistant and immediately fell in love with the industry. Throughout my career, I’ve met a handful of exceptional mentors who have helped me learn, grow, and work my way to where I am today!
Who inspires you?
For me it’s more about what inspires me as opposed to any particular who. I am inspired by leaders and the strengths they bring. I am inspired by tenacity. Grit. Hard work. I’m inspired by my own desire to do more. Be more. Grow more. But most of all, I’m inspired by possibility.
What is your personal goal with being on this committee?
I’ve been through all phases of life during my career in the design and construction industry. I started as a young, naïve, and extremely green 20-something-year-old and am now a full-time working wife and mother with nearly two decades of experience under my belt. Through these years in the industry, I’ve encountered different struggles based on what phase of my life I was in. I was fortunate to have a number of very strong, female influences in my life to help guide me through those struggles. I hope that, through Women of CCorp, I can pay that back and be a positive, guiding influence to other women across our great organization.
