South Lake Tahoe, Nev. – (August 17, 2017) – Cumming, an international project management and cost consulting firm, has made big strides on the Tahoe Beach Club’s development throughout the winter and spring months despite challenging seasonal conditions.  The 20-acre Tahoe Beach Club site, which has an estimated cost of $300 million, currently has two of the 13 total buildings under construction, with the beachfront Clubhouse set to start construction this summer.

“Facing challenging weather, a limited labor pool, and a fairly remote location, our team worked diligently throughout the critical winter and spring months to make certain the project maintained a reliable completion schedule and stayed within its development budget,” said Frank Fernandez, Managing Director, at Cumming.

The Beach Club is the first full-ownership lakefront community to be approved on Lake Tahoe in more than 30 years. It will be surrounded by private meadows to the north, Lake Tahoe to the west, and Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course to the south.

Tahoe Beach Club will consist of 143 modern luxury condos, each designed with the unique beauty and relaxed atmosphere of Lake Tahoe in mind. The residences will range from approximately 1,000 to more than 4,000 square feet, and will feature natural gas fireplaces and state-of-the-art interior finishes.

The main 55,000-square-foot clubhouse building will be situated steps from the Cabana-lined private beach and will house the Beach Bar & Grill, a yoga and Pilates pavilion, a large fitness facility, a business center, concierge services, and a full-service spa. The Beach Club will also offer guests beachside fire pits, a 160-foot floating pier, boat valet service, and an indoor/outdoor infinity-edge pool overlooking Lake Tahoe.

Keeping sustainability a top priority, the Tahoe Beach Club will be Green Globe-certified upon completion to help improve and restore the natural surroundings, including the restoration of the property’s natural streams and native vegetation. Once finalized, it is estimated that the changes will significantly reduce sediment runoff from approximately 11,000 pounds per year down to only 600 pounds a year, and greenhouse gas emissions are anticipated to be reduced by more than 60 percent.
